KT Canada Annual Scientific Meeting

Maritime SPOR SUPPORT Unit Travel Award

June 15-16, 2017 | Quebec City, QC


This travel award will provide funding for members of the Maritime SPOR SUPPORT Unit (MSSU) community to attend KT Canada’s Annual Scientific Meeting (June 15-16) in Quebec City. The award will cover costs associated with meeting registration, as well as travel and accommodation. Recipients of funding must show proof of registration to receive award.



Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this award:

  1. Be associated with the MSSU community
    The MSSU community is comprised of individuals from the three Maritime provinces who are engaged in patient-oriented research, in some capacity, either as knowledge producers or knowledge users. These include patient representatives (patients, family members of patients, consumers of health care), researchers or academics, clinician scientists, graduate students or fellows, health system/care practitioners or professionals, and policy makers.

Review Process

Applications will be reviewed by a panel of knowledge translation experts in the Maritimes.


Award Notification

Applicants will be notified of the results by email by May 19, 2017





*CIHR defines patient-oriented research as: “… a continuum of research that engages patients as partners, focuses on patient-identified priorities and improves patient outcomes. This research, conducted by multidisciplinary teams in partnership with relevant stakeholders, aims to apply the knowledge generated to improve healthcare systems and practice.”
