Exploring the role of toolkits as a guideline implementation tool in the context of stroke rehabilitation
Speaker: Dr. Nancy Salbach is a physical therapist, Associate Professor, and Heart and Stroke Foundation Mid-
Career Investigator in the Department of Physical Therapy, at the University of Toronto.
At the end of this presentation the audience will be able to:
- Describe development of a theory-based toolkit to facilitate adoption of an evidenceinformed approach to walking evaluation post-stroke by physical therapists
- Summarize the results of a multi-site uncontrolled mixed methods study that examined practice change after provision of the toolkit
- Discuss the implications of findings for implementation science in the context of stroke rehabilitation
