July 22-25, 2019
We're pleased to be teaming up with the BC SUPPORT Unit to offer CIHR SPOR’s Foundations in Patient-Oriented Research and the companion 'Train the Trainer' course here in the Maritimes.
The training will take place over three days, with the first two days devoted to the Foundations in Patient-Oriented Research. The curriculum is split into three modules which are delivered with the principles of co-learning to provide a richer learning experience for all.
- Module 1: Patient-Oriented Research - Gain an understanding of patient-oriented research and how it differs from ‘traditional’ health research
- Module 2: Health Research in Canada Fundamentals - Learn how research is designed, funded, and conducted
- Module 3: Building Partnerships and Consolidating Teams - Explore ways to work together and develop creative and productive partnerships
The companion 'Train the Trainer' course will be offered on the third day and prepare local stakeholders from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island to provide the training to others in their provinces.
PLEASE NOTE: This event is by invitation only to build local capacity to offer this training. We will be offering the CIHR SPOR Foundations in Patient-Oriented Research again if the future. Sign-up for our mailing list to receive the latest MSSU news including upcoming events.
